2. Tell your story

1. Choose a title for your fundraiser. 2. Feel free to write more about why you’re raising funds for HHCLA.

3. Pick a cover photo

Feel free to use HHCLA's cover photo, or choose your own.

4. Publish your fundraiser

Once your fundraiser is published, you can start sharing your fundraiser, inviting your friends, and even match donations.

5. Invite friends to donate

Invite as many friends as you like to support your fundraiser. The more you invite, the more likely others are to donate.

6. Share your fundraiser

Share your fundraiser and consider being the first person to donate.

7. (OPTIONAL) Match donations

8. Determine your match amount

Pick an amount you feel comfortable with matching. You won’t be prompted to give your pledge match until after the fundraiser ends.


Can I donate privately or annonyomously?

Yes. To donate privately, select “Only me” from the privacy menu in the donation form.
⚬ Please note that fundraiser creators and nonprofits can see all donations. Only they can see donation amounts. ⚬ Your donation to a charitable organization on Facebook will only be seen by your friends if you choose to share it. Keep in mind that the amount of your donation won’t be shared. ⚬ When you donate to a fundraiser, the charitable organization and creator of the fundraiser will be able to see your donation even if you don’t share it.

How does HHCLA receive donations?

HHCLA will receive donations every other week from Facebook once we collect at least $100 in donations.

Is what I raise tax-deductible?

Donations made by you personally are tax-deductible. For further questions about whether something is tax-deductible, consult a tax professional.

How do taxes work?

HHCLA is a 501(c)(3) in the US. Donations to U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofits are typically tax-deductible. If you have questions about the tax-deductible status of any donations, please reach out to a tax professional.

How do fees work?

100% of the gift you send us via Facebook is received by us. There are no fees charged by Facebook.

I live outside of the US, can I still donate?

There are many countries where Facebook donations are allowed.
