Thanks to a collab with Affirmed Housing and DHS, Homeless Health Care Los Angeles is thrilled to announce that 54 people who have been on an extremely long waiting list will be placed in permanent supportive housing this month.
38 people are about to call The Emerson Building their new home where they will receive on-going support which is crucial for housing retention ensuring the health and well-being of the people who live there.
16 out of 17 units in The Marine Building have been dedicated to HHCLA clients who will receive trauma informed management services based on the harm reduction model.
These numbers may not seem like a lot when you consider how many people are in need of housing in LA County. But to 54 people who have been living on the street, this is EVERYTHING so please consider pitching in.
